    5 Hosteling Tips

Hosteling appeals to many a traveler. One obvious reason is because it’s less expensive and allows a traveler to go further on a budget. Another reason is for the adventure.

    1. Easy on the wallet. A huge attraction to the hosteling lifestyle is how little it costs, which will make your dollars go much further and help to prolong your trip.
    2. Opportunities to meet fellow travelers. If you’re the type of person who enjoys the company of other people, hosteling offers the opportunity of sharing the adventure. By traveling in this way, you could develop friendships that could last a lifetime.
    3. Room Options. When booking a room, you need to think about whether you want a same sex room or a co-ed one. Generally, many women would prefer to stay in female only rooms. Co-ed rooms can be a lot of fun. And when you find a room, it’s a good idea to choose the bottom bunk, mostly because they’re easier to get in and out of. This is especially important if you need to use the bathroom often during the night.
    4. Travel Medical Insurance. This is highly recommended, even if you’re relatively healthy. On the road, accidents or illnesses happen. It’s important to obtain enough coverage for your trip. If you don’t, and disaster strikes, you could lose hugely, financially.
    5. Security. When at a hostel, don’t leave your valuables in your room. Instead, make use of any lockers or safes.
