The short story is my AirBnB reservation didn’t work out as planned. I filed a complaint, and went back and forth with Airbnb for a while.

In short, the reservation was cancelled, my money refunded AND they gave me a credit equal to what I paid. Nice job, AirBnb.

The down side was is I was unable to get another reservation, hotel prices were high for the weekend, so I chose to sleep in my car. Yep, chose to, and it was a good experience, overall.

All my memories of car camping came back and I quickly found a good place for the night. Sleeping was hard, due to the space and that I kept getting cramps in my legs, but I made it work.

Right now, I’m at an old standby hotel and here for a day or two, depending on if I sell my car – or not.

    The adventure continues.

One thing that never fails to surprise me is the cost of car repairs. Prior to putting up my car for sale, I had a few repairs I wanted to make.

The idle was sticking, a headlamp burned out, the hood latch wasn’t working properly, and I needed an engine and car wash.

All was done while I waited. Total cost with parts? Only $590 pesos, or about $35USD. Amazing.
