As you can see, the park behind the sign is flooded. It really suprised me, this trip to California. I’d thought it would be a good place to spend the winter, with temperatures around 70 degrees or so. Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, temperatures hovered around 50 degrees with a stiff wind.

It was much colder than I’d thought and I was looking forward to getting out of here. To it’s credit, Leucadia, and all the seaside towns in this area were quite attractive, but also very expensive. A price of $1,500.00 per month for a one bedroom apartment seemed to be the norm.

There are signs all over the place, warning of bluff failure. From what I understand it happens often.
